A brief History of Renewable energy - Solar

Solar energy can be used by the humans for thousands of years. In ancient period they used energy from the sun to keep warm by starting fires with it. They kept their home warm by starting fires with it and also they used passive solar energy designs. Buildings were designed so that walls and floors collected solar heat during the day that was released at night to keep them warm. Solar cells for practical use are available since from 1950’s and they developed six percent of efficient silicon solar cells. By 1960 they developed up to twenty percent and converted into usable electricity.

Solar energy in market

Solar energy is most sought today in developing countries, the fastest growing of segment of the photo voltaic market. Folks go without electricity as the sun beats down on the land, making solar power the obvious energy choice. It is much more practical than the extension of expensive power lines into remote areas,   where people don’t have to pay for conventional electricity. Solar power is connected to the local electrical power grid in remote areas. An average home has more than enough roof area to produce enough solar electricity to supply all of its power needs.

Household energy supply

The energy supply is the use of solar power not only household energy it has various uses in industrial, rural habitation, grid-connected and consumer. Industrial uses represent the largest application of solar heater power in the past 30 years. Telecommunication, oil companies, and highway safety equipment all rely on solar power for dependable, constant power far from any power lines. Roadside call boxes and lighted highway signs rely on the sun’s energy in order to provide reliable services without buried cable connections or diesel generators. Rural habitation like cabins, homes, villages, schools, and farms has individually solar powered light. Grid connected systems pair solar with an existing grid network in order to supply a commercial sight with enough energy to meet a high demand, or to supplement a family household supply. Consumer uses of photo voltaic cells include watches and calculators; photo voltaic modules power computers and radios. However, even after much research and development subsequent to the discovery, photo voltaic power continued and solar cells were used mainly for the purposes of measuring light.

A rapid development of solar panels

Solar power is a rapidly developing energy source in Australia and around the world. The potential for using the sun to directly supply our power needs is huge. Solar panels can generate electricity without any waste or pollution, or dependence on the Earth’s natural resources once they are constructed. Solar panels have no moving parts so they are very reliable and have a long life span. Solar panels are relatively easy to install and are very low maintenance.

Summary

India has becoming one of the world’s main products of solar. By using of solar product will get Long life more than 15 years. Folks can save money using solar products especially in solar water heater. It is used in commercial and business needs which are available in various capacities to save energy as well as money. Glazer is one of the solar water heater manufacturers in India. For more details visit http://www.glazerindia.com/
